We have got so many positive comments on our pictures, everybody just loves them and tells us that the camera really loves us. But we know the truth, it´s Charnells capacity to bring out the best from people that really makes the picture. We had so much fun during the photo shoot and felt so relaxed, the camera was like a really good friend. Charnell sees a picture in every moment and we love the pictures she has taken when we weren´t aware of that she was shooting us. The husband who loves the camera and all the attention that comes with it had the time of his life. Charnell is really good in giving direction and to bring out the spontaneous movement from people. Charnell is a true artist and the pictures are really amazing, we took pictures on a beach in Cape Town and then drove around and took pictures in front of different buildings in the city. There are a lot of really special and cool buildings in Cape town, so we really recommend that.

I would like to just drop you a note saying that you are the most incredible photographer. I do many weddings and find a lot of the photographers do not bring with them major personality. You however, really added to the wedding with your enthusiasm and creativity. 

I have never encountered a photographer as vibrant and energetic as Charnell! When planning our wedding, we had a major challenge as Johan is extremely camera shy. We were concerned and unsure about how to go about choosing the appropriate photographer, and being a gay couple,  we needed to feel comfortable with our photographer. I then had the privilege to see Charnell in action at a wedding. Within moments I realised that with her amazing energy and charm with the guests, our problem was solved as she was 'the one'.

Well, the moment we saw the photos, we were sold 1000 times over. We have seen many photos of weddings that took place at the Riverside property which we manage, but Charnell has the ability to capture scenes that were totally ignored by previous photographers

Charnell Timms worked on several occassions for me as my wedding, beach session with my wife and several windsurfing shoots. Ms Timms was the official photographer at our daughter’s wedding on 28 December 2007. In the run-up to the wedding Ms Timms was always available for queries and advice, always pleasant, patient and ready to give of her time.

Her work is of an extremely high standard. She manages to capture the mood and ambiance of the moment. Her pictures are sometimes unusual, always captivating, interesting and natural, not stilted or posed. She is able to encourage those being photographed to relax. This is done through her lively and humerous manner which keeps everyone amused. She achieves this in an unobtrusive way and is never ‘in your face’.
